Gratitude

We all know that gratitude means to be grateful. Not to be mixed up with self-gratification. To be grateful is a personal experience. I saw a butterfly yesterday and also met up with a long-lost friend. It brought me great pleasure to know he was OK and doing quite well. It made me happy. Even though it was yesterday, I still feel the “high on life” feeling. It was wonderful to see him and this time we decided to keep in touch.  How we met again was divine intervention, I believe. We met at New Beginnings Church.

It’s OK to be grateful for material things too. Especially if you’ve earned them yourself.  It’s not what you have it’s how you take care of it. If something is dirty- clean it. A fresh coat of paint can do wonders. If you keep up with things and chores, it gives you a good feeling. To be able to do the task brings gratefulness.

Try not to take advantage of a good thing. If someone is good to you and thinks of you, you’ll know. It will come to you in different ways. Be gracious and thankful for who you are and what you can accomplish. Don’t be surprised if just your smile may brighten someone’s day.
